Miraca is the new group formed by Raphael, Michael and Candida.

Miraca play traditional melodies, original compositions and improvisations influenced by

Medieval, Mongolian, Tibetan, Classical, Indian and Meditational Music.

Raphael is a classically trained violin player with a stunning technique who fell in love with

traditional music and medieval troubadour music whilst spending a year travelling around the world with his violin. His meetings with Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese musicians have opened up his playing

to create unique playful and colourful soundscapes.

Michael is a multi-instrumentalist who specialises in Mongolian Khöömii (overtone) singing,

being one of the only Europeans to have studied in Mongolia & to teach authentic Khöömii singing styles.

He has composed music for TV, Dance and Theatre and performed internationally.

Candida is the only European woman to have learnt the art of singing Khargiraa,

(Tuvan and Mongolian undertone singing). She has developed extended techniques

on symphonic gongs and Tibetan Singing Bowls to create aurally rich sonic textures.
