A series of evening classes exploring the therapeutic and healing power of sound, movement and breath,

open to anyone who wishes to bring consciousness to their world of sound and vibration.

Mantra meditation is often called “Mantra Yoga” and is considered to be part of “Nada Yoga” which means the yoga of sound. The word yoga means union or to link with God, and this is the ultimate goal of all types of yoga.

When we recite special mantras or prayers we are engaging our body, breathe, speech, and mind with the motivation of transforming our mind to develop its highest, truest potential. This transformation takes time and patience and is a process that leads to a gradual, worthwhile and profound awareness.Practiced regularly and with sincere motivation, mantras are powerful catalysts for effecting mind transformation, which can open up wonderful pathways to gaining blessings and realisations.

During the following evenings we will be learning and exploring cakra awareness and balancing through the ancient Sanskrit seed syllables called Bija Mantra. These sacred sounds have been used for thousands of years by seers and lamas of the Hindu and Tibetan tantric traditions, as a Cakra Yoga.

We will also be learning some Siddhi breathing techniques, Kriya yoga and Pranayama to prepare us to be more open and receptive to the subtle vibrations of the inner sound that has been inside us since beginningless time.

The two practices of using the breathe and voice consciously will enable us to be more still and yet more alive.
