Carole Pegg
Carole Pegg is the Britain’s foremost scholar of Mongolia music. She has written a number of articles about Mongolian Khöömii investigating how the Mongolian singers view Khöömii and its history within the socio-cultural changes that Mongolia has experienced over the past 100 years or so. Her recent book (2001) Mongolian Music, Dance & Oral Narrative (University of Washington Press ISBN 0 295 98030 3) is a must read for anyone interested in Mongolian music and has an important section regarding Khöömii.
