Tibetan Singing Bowls

Meditation, Relaxation & Deep Listening

Workshop and Evenings

Facilitated by

 Michael Ormiston and Candida Valentino

Tibetan singing bowls ring with an ancient power that is a mystery to most of us.

They have their roots in the animistic/shamanic religions of the Nepalese/Tibetan border area of the

Himalayas where master craftspeople fashioned the bowls from seven or five metals.

The workshop/evening will be an experiential journey through the sounds of the bowls,

their history and use in meditation/relaxation and deep listening practices.

Attendees will learn the techniques of making the bowls ring and sing in a relaxed and friendly

environment and have the opportunity to receive and take part in a Singing Bowl sound massage/meditation.

Please bring your own bowls (not essential)

Michael Ormiston & Candida Valentino have been playing and studying the bowls for many years

and recently played for His Holiness the Dalai Lama, as well as the Tibet Foundation and the Tibet House Trust.

Over the years they have performed in concert with Tibetologist Alain Presencer, Gongmaster Don Conreaux

and Frank Perry. They have been leading meditations using Tibetan Singing Bowls ever since the

Venerable Khamba Lam Choijampts, the head Abbot of Gandan monastery in Ulaanbaatar,

Mongolia heard Michael playing. On hearing the bowls the Khamba Lam said they were to be used for meditation.
