Khöömii is an amazing
style of overtone/harmonic singing where one person sings two or more distinct
pitches at the same time.
It originates among the
nomads of the central Asian plateau, particularly the Altai and Sayan mountain
regions of
The nomads of these parts
have discovered how to sing melodies that arise from the universal overtone or
harmonic series.

workshops/lesson learn the basic Mongolian practices including

sensitise the hearing to the harmonic series
An understanding of melody

Care and attention to
warming up the body and voice ensure a safe passage throughout each session.

series of individual lessons be booked in order that a method of practice can
be established.
Introductory workshops are
designed for one or two days Follow up workshops are recommended
Evening classes can be
arranged. They last 2hours and a minimum of six are required
